When you try to access Hopeful Home on your phone, it will come up as Trig Calc. This is to draw less attention in the case that your perpetrator checks your phone as this is the case for many other victims around the world. To open up Hopeful Homes, you need to open up Trig Calc, and enter your pin. When you first download the app your pin will be +-x÷π as is shown in the logo. After 7 days, your pin will change randomly and you will be aware of your pin as it will also appear in the logo. Once it starts to change weekly, your pin will be individualised to only your pin meaning other users of the app will not know your combination as it will most likely be different to yours. Type in the pin, and you can access Hopeful Home.

Your password changes weekly. You don't have the choice of passwords to make it more guessable by other people who may know your other passwords and so can guess your password habits, so Hopeful Home will change your password for you. To alert you of your password change, Hopeful Home will change the logo of the app so it specifically matches your password combination.

Haven acts as a diary. When you talk to Haven, you can rest assured that everything you say is being remembered in case you need these records later on. If you want to see your chat with Haven later on, you can simply just scroll up to find it.

To record videos and audio tapes, hold onto specific buttons of the calculator to start your recording. Unlike traditional microphone apps, it won't be visible that there is recording taking place to make less obvious the fact that you are recording abuse.

Videos, photos and audio tapes will be saved in the chat with Haven. To access it, open Haven's chatbox as though you're talking to Haven, but scroll up until you find the relevant information.

To send your recordings to other people, simply download the wanted recording and share it like you normally would. Hopeful Home would reccommend not sharing the recordings with your perpetrator.
